Heart of America ReDistribution Solutions and Support, Inc. began as an idea in early 2018 when it was realized that there was a gap in meeting the needs of individuals in our area.
While food and many other needs were being augmented by many groups, there was still one gapping area and that was in providing the non-food essentials that families need for daily life but could not purchase with Food Stamps. The idea of an organization like Heart of America ReDistribution came about from that realization.
Heart of America ReDistribution set in motion plans to research the issue and it was realized that we were not the only one seeing the gap. Nationally, a group known as Good360 was addressing the same issues. We have joined with them to address this problem in our area.
Heart of America ReDistribution Solutions and Support, Inc was formed in August 2018 as a Missouri Nonprofit Corporation with a three-member Board of Directors. We have received our Internal Revenue Service 501(c)(3) status approval. All gifts are tax-deductible and receipts will be issued.
In 2021, we acquired 15 semi-trailer truckloads of products plus numerous other shipments of products and supplies. They have been processed and distributed. We are also a part of the C.R.P. program with Good360 in which we will be picking up return and surplus merchandise directly from a number of national chain stores.
